Housekeeping every day. Clean hotel which smelt beautiful too. Fridge in the room Hot water clean towels Location . A sense of peace in the hotel Beautiful surroundings Lovely grounds and pool . Great view across the location from our room Great staff (all of them ) they all made us feel welcome and at home . We had a couple of issues in the restaurant and the staff (once they were informed ) were very obliging and courteous .I could only praise all of them. such nice staff every single one of them ,without exception . Many thanks to them all . They work so hard and seem to work well as a team in the restaurant and always with a smile and some fun about them too . We always had something nice to eat at dinner time for the main course . Not the best food selection I've ever had in a 4 star hotel but definitely value for money and positive, so we were very pleased overall. Everyone really wanted to do the best job they could do for us as guests ,and this is something that was felt by us whilst we were in the hotel I would recommend this hotel and we would like to return again.!

Desserts a disaster .same every day !the main thing synthetic cake squares all different colours, different colour jelly hard cubes, some sort of mouse with various tastes and flavours ( none of them nice all seemed cheap , but my husband liked the coffee one ) Oh and rice pudding !! I mean you wouldn't starve , but it's nice to have some sort of sweet treat to look forward to. No ice cream or yogurt or anything that had any imagination to it. They did serve fruit which helped .they could do so much more to give a better experience on the desserts . Suppose it helped me not to eat too much sweet! It would be fab to have a kettle in the room !

Located a few miles away from Fuengirola. I had the use of a car, but there's a bus stop just around the corner. There is free parking just opposite the hotel. There's an excellent entrance ramp for the less able bodied. Thereafter lovely seating area adjacent to the swimming pool. This hotel is near the old town of Mijas Pueblo - this is a gorgeous town. Just before Christmas, it was so beautifully decorated. I spent a wet day there & did some Xmas shopping. I had requested a room with a shower cabin (shower not over a bath) & ground floor or access to a lift. flash to the receptionist! I got a ground floor room with a shower cabin - see photos. I also noticed a lift on the corridor. My allocated room was a bit dark but reasonably clean. I stayed here for 8 nights & the standard of cleaning could be greatly improved. The hairdryer unit was dirty. The shower head was unsafe as it kept falling out of the holder & hitting me on the head. The room wasn't hoovered all week. Edges along the floor, beneath the wardrobe, were quite dusty looking. The glass (I used to take a daily sachet of medicine) was never replaced. The lampshades looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. These were dreary yellow, tweedy looking & gave very poor light for reading. Also, you had to get out of bed to switch them on & off!?? When I sat on the armchair facing the bed, I could see a layer of dust under the bed. Curtains are shabby & need replacing & to be professionally hanged.

Poor cleaning, details included with what I liked, above. The food in the hotel was AWFUL. I ate there on my first night - the buffet was laid out for a group. It looked well presented, but it was tasteless. Food which was supposed to be hot was gone cold; the microwave which was readily available suggested that this was normal practice. Frankly, it looked like foid purchased from Aldi or Lidl, tins opened & food hurriedly laid out. Breakfast was equally horrible & 14. Evening time was buffet time (20) - strictly opening at 19:30. If you dared approach the dining area before this sacred hour, you were aggressively told "no buffet before 7.30!". There were a number of groups in the hotel on various nights during the 8 nights I spent there, so this is obviously what the dining area staff are used to, but they need to be trained to be a LOT more mannerly to guests. The bar staff were helpful, but double jobbing in the food area & under a lot of pressure. There was a power failure one evening, after dark. I had been asleep & woke to find there as no electricity. As the room keys are electronic, I looked out to the corridor, where there was light. Suspecting that the issue might be confined to my room, I went to reception. The receptionist was doing a great "Manuel" impression. She was wildly gesticulating & kept defensively repeating that it wasn't the fault of the hotel, that the maintenance man had been called. Another staff member added that this happens when there's rain! Meanwhile, from the floor beneath I could hear significant hammering & banging! A young couple who had just checked in couldn't gain access to their room. They were told they'd just have to wait & try again!! There was no asking them to have a complimentary drink in the bar while they were being inconvenienced. Again, poor staff training & poor management. Rooms need coffee & tea making facilities.
