My issue was with the facility itself. This place just opened, but clearly they had a sub-par builders. The carpet was coming up on our floor (11th) something that should never happen, especially as it was just built.
Some of the smaller lights (not lamps) would work inconsistently (felt like we had a ghost), our sink plugged with no way to drain the water, even the sign on the hotel was not working (lights flashing off on on), and most disappointing, the restaurant, which is a part of the hotel, closed two days before we left, so no room service and easy breakfast or late dinner while staying there. It's supposed to reopen mid-December which seems like a big miss as a lot of people will be visiting.
Smaller issues that were less annoying, but still annoying:
- trashcan was removed from our floor after we put the garbage in the hall as it was stinking up the room (leftover thai), we asked that it be returned, but that never happened
- mini bar was never restocked until the last day and then only partial restocked. They could have gotten a lot more money out of my sister and I if they had (we like to stay up late watching movies and eating mini bar snacks)
- the trashcan in the bathroom was in the toilet room (a separate room/door) so when you threw away your makeup remover towels or kleenex or floss, you had to go into the toilet room to do it it, which felt a little gross.
- there were no drawers for clothes, everything was hung up or you were out of luck
- there were no extra blankets. We had to call down as there was only a very thin down comforter on the beds. Blankets looked really worn and old.
- there was no easily accessible menu to the restaurant in the room, so you had to either walk downstairs to see what they were serving or have the front desk read it to you (really awkward to do that). There was a menu online (which is what the front desk person recommended) but it was not accurate as the breakfast menu was different than what was online.
