    Worst experience in a hotel and got no sleep, if we hadnt of needed to pick up our daughter from the University on this
    Clean with excellent facilities, excellent food in the restaurant, friendly, professional staff
    It was freezing all night and we couldnt get hold of any staff so didnt sleep all night

    We visit Lancaster House frequently, I think weve stayed once or twice a year for the last couple of years. We love this is only an hour away and a perfect quick getaway for my wife and I. The pool, sauna and steam rooms are fantastic, the hospitality and staff are also very good. Food in both restaurants are very nice and good value for money.
    Unfortunately on this visit, we found the bed to be incredibly uncomfortable, at first we just thought the bed was firm, but by early morning we were very uncomfortable and woke up feeling very, very stiff (we are only in our 30s!), this was a shame as everything else was perfect for us as always.

    I have used this hotel on a number of occasions and it never disappoints. The use of the swimming pool in the morning is
    The property and facilities were comfortable and clean. All the staff were friendly and all request were handled with no issues. I loved the open fire in reception.
    No air condition, there is however a tower unit which is quite noisy

    Our stay was ok but wouldn't be returning for another stay.
    The atmosphere was lovely down stairs with the fire and xmas tree. We enjoyed the pool and gym. The staff were all very helpful.
    The breakfast was a little dry I had the muffin which I wasn't able to finish. My husband had the traditionalbreakfast taking off the beans and tomatoes but he wasnt offered anything else to replace them. To say the breakfast was 17 a head there wasn't a massive selection of things to eat and have had better else where. When entering the bedroom the main lights didn't come on and we were in darkness, we had to ask reception how to do it which was alittle annoying. The remote control for the TV didn't work straight away with the batteries falling out but managed to get it working eventually. My husband found the shower difficult as you couldn't adjust the height which meant he had to crouch down which was uncomfortable. I was also surprised to find that as I had booked through booking.com I had to pay a 12 charge for my car to be parked in the car park making my bill over 170!! The rooms need some touch ups such as painting over splashes and scuff marks on the walls especially for the price we paid on a standard room.

    The room was far too hot and I was unable to cool it down with resulted in sleeping with both windows open and hearing lots of road / generated noise . I was able to switch the radiator down but it made little to no difference .

    The staff were superb. Lovely common areas and the spa was really nice. Was not within walking distance of Lancaster but local transport was very good. The main restaurant meal was excellent as was the bar meal we had the following evening. Would highly recommend the evening food.
    The breakfast was cold so left most of it. I resorted to filling up on porridge and toast (which was lovely and you could order as much as you wanted and didnt have to make it yourself which was appreciated )
