We booked our stay back in April, stating that my husband and I would be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. No one from the staff including the executive assistant manager and general manager touched on this.
This was our dream property for such celebration and we traveled nearly 16 hours. We were really disappointed that no one could remember it given that we also made dinner and afternoon tea reservations directly with hotel mentioning the same.
In addition, our passports were given upon check-in, my husband's name is Ognjen Trifunovic. Yet he was always called Mr. Terroni during our entire stay.
2 nights out of our 3 nights stay we did not receive turned down service. One of the nights we had dinner at Villa Cipriani, a timing the hotel staff were well aware of.
The coffee capsules were not replenished for us, we had to phone reception to receive it.
Our second morning we walked around the garden before breakfast, making our way directly to a table. Before sitting down we asked the waiter named Pedro if we could sit there, he said yes. A few minutes later, the young hostess approached our table saying "we needed to go through the entrance before sitting, so she could check us in"
My husband explained to her that we just came this way as we walked through the garden, she continued saying "yes but the entrance is there, that is where you have to enter." This was said in a very scolding tone. She continued by saying that we needed to make sure to enter the correct way tomorrow.
I would just like to mention that there were only 2 other tables occupied, one close to us who could hear how we were being spoken to.
