    Excellent value, comfortable room, and very welcoming hosts! Would love to visit again.
    Warm, welcoming hosts with excellent and personalised communication up to my visit (e.g. checking I was okay with the stairs). Delicious breakfast and wide selection to chose from. Great room, excellent value, and good location near historic sites and the centre of town.

    Lovely warm welcome by the owners and the rooms were very comfortable with everything we needed available. Breakfast was beautiful, couldn't fault anything. Very happy guests who WILL be returning on our next visit to whitby Thank you so much

    Great location but room smelt of drains
    Perfect location on sea front, stunning sea view, characterful, attractive old building. Parking at front. Clean room and bathroom
    Our Room 9 on penultimate floor had an overpowering smell of blocked drains. I can understand this happens in old buildings, but it's impossible that at least the cleaner didn't know beforehand, it was so strong. Hoped it would go overnight and with toilet flushing, but it didn't improve and was stomach-turning. Had to leave next morning as I'd tested positive for Covid, so never got to ask to be moved which we otherwise would have done. When we left, my partner told Zed who seemed mildly surprised but didn't apologise. I really hope this got fixed for the next guests!
