    Excellent hotel and great staff. Highly recommended
    Extremely helpful hostess and excellent room. The breakfast was great and the location, interior and comfort were all superb. I would recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

    Friendly, helpful hotel personnel Amazing rooftop bar is perfect for a drink at sunset Comfortable, spacious room - front desk upgraded us to a junior suite (with mini fridge, sink, coffee maker) which we appreciated Large bathroom with nice tub - great for soaking sore muscles after a busy day of adventures and exploration Very convenient location for exploring downtown Funchal
    If youre a light sleeper, be aware that you hear sounds from the street in the room.

    Great location, lovely roof top bar!
    Hotel is centrally located to walk everywhere in Funchal. You're in a walking only area but it's a short block to catch any taxi or tour pick up. It's away from the over touristy old town & busy main streets. The roof top bar/garden/dining area is very pretty & provides a great view of the ocean, town & mountains - don't miss the free Fado entertainment on Wednesday night. Breakfast is amazing with many options including delicious fresh fruits (as a bonus, the breakfast staff is super nice).
    Nothing but if we had a complaint it would be the odd see-thru glass bathroom where we had to put towels against shower door to prevent floor getting wet! A minor issue.

    Location, staff, breakfast - all great
    Great location in the heart of the city, just minutes away from the main street where the buses run (including the aerobus to/from airport). Lovely and helpful staff. Quite some choices (sweet and savory) for breakfast. Lovely design in the reception area as well as the rooftop terrace.
    There is no spa and the pool is very small hence i would say calling the hotel a spa is misleading. You can make appointment for massages thought. Having the room on the first floor (next to the elevator) you could hear all the street noises plus the incoming/ongoing guests by elevator.
