Well appointed and thoughtfully designed, our rooms offer a comfortable place to call your own. Each room features local artwork by Kenton Nelson and custom décor creating unique, unforgettable spaces. Each of our rooms has been designed to provide you a space that feels like home. Including custom artwork and furniture, every room is outfitted with its own unique appointments. Short Stories Restaurant serves our take on California cuisine. Inspired by our nearby farmers markets, fresh, seasonal ingredients are sourced to create dishes influenced by the cultural diversity of California by way of the Far East, Latin America and the Mediterranean. While the restaurant is our most formal dining option, in true LA style, there’s no dress code or fussy requirements. The intimate dining room can fill quickly, reservations are recommended.

    Our favorite place to stay in LAstylish and comfortable!
    Perfect location; easy-to-use valet; stylish, comfortable room (with GREAT shower); excellent housekeeping service; WONDERFUL restaurant.
    Wish the restaurant were open for breakfast and/or lunch (but I totally understand that longer hours may not be economically feasible).

    Nice Dcor & confortable BUT ONLY TO SLEEP no ambience Beyhond that
    The record and the size of the room. Location also perfect and decor was modern & cool. Looked very new .
    Fees for the car park . Did not have restaurant . And no one to help with bags ; each one to their own . Prices for the in room service ( fridge etc ) were out of order and crazy expensive ; there was no ambience in the communal areas

    Super cute hotel, good location
    Super cute hotel in a great location. Short Stories was a motel back in the day and has been converted and modernised beautifully. Its simply charming and a great option for anyone looking for a quiet, cute hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfy. The bed is luxe and there is a nice seating area with table for chilling. All rooms on upper two levels are accessible via lift. The courtyard garden is lovely for drinks, chilling and also grabbing a meal. The person at valet was super nice! I didnt grab his name but he was lovely. All the staff were great.

    pretty lobby. nice room. they extended my checkout by an hour for free.
    a bit of a smell in the room. no tea kettle or coffee machine in the room. the only way to get hot water is in the morning in a court yard until 10am. later I found out I could have requested a tea kettle, but it was too late
