Disappointing , sounded fabulous , needs some love and attention to bring it back to a real gem .

Lovely old building. Great location in Norwich Bed really comfortable. Staff on front desk very helpful as had a lot of complaints from other customers on the same weekend.

Heating in the hotel was broken, I believe this was an ongoing problem, as had heaters in stock ready to give out to customers, but we didnt get one on the first night so slept in a very cold room. Shower head was dirty, marks on the carpet, and could write my name in the dust in front of the tv. Bar was taken up by a private party so unable to sit and enjoy a drink. Seemed funny as hotel has more than one function room. Also supplies for the kitchen etc left in entrance hall .

Very good

Lovely building, room was clean and comfortable with plenty of storage. We also liked the lounge area, a cosy venue to chat with friends during the NYE ball. Great location for shopping in Norwich.

Poorly designed sink unit as water just ran all over the glass top onto the floor. NYE ball disappointing as it advertised live music but was just CDs playing, no DJ and the countdown was missed.

Disappointing and underwhelming

Location and foyer, the spa was fantastic.

Had to move rooms, due to an issue with the TV. Upgraded and had the noisiest, worst night ever in a hotel. The windows rattled, the wind whistled and the external noise ensured we were woken up intermittently from 3 am onwards. Decor is incredibly tired, fixtures and fittings in need of replacing, generally poor.

Disappointing

Very basic, not 4 star facilities, very old decor, still using keys for door entry, rooms/bathroom was not clean.

Location, walking distance from city centre.

No gym, very old decor, no tech, more a 2/3 star at best.

Warm welcome and comfortable stay

Beautiful old building ideally situated in the centre of the city. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble.

The accommodation is very comfortable but could do with a bit of redecoration.

Great location in a period hotel to make you feel a little bit grand!

I booked this hotel as a treat to enjoy a little luxury and it certainly provided. There is old world, rustic charm about the architecture and you certainly feel a little grand when you walk in. The rooms are large size with a grand comfy bed and good amenities. Location-wise it fits the bill and is walkable to the key spots in Norwich. I didn't sample the food here or spend much time as only here for 1 night so my experience is limited but overall I had a lovely stay, the staff and other greats were friendly and I had a good night's sleep. Perfect! Would recommend.
