Really Nice location

The location was excellent. The cottage was nice but there were issues.

The bed was very uncomfortable and very low. The bedside light did not work nor did the heated towel rail. There was no internet and we had to pay extra for the electric. The shower head leaked a lot.

Stoneleigh Village

Spacious and airy property. Perfect size for a family of 4. Close to Branscombe and Sidmouth.

The toilet seat broke on the first night, but as there are 2 bathrooms, we were alright for the week. Wifi is virtually non- existent. Perfect for solitude but problematic with tweens.

Disappointing

The heat, and the discomfort made it impossible to stay for more than 3 days. Communication poor.

Nice building, plenty of room. Very clean.

It was very hot and the two windows in the main room, were welded shut. The settees were VERY uncomfortable, and a bad design. These are NOT as shown in the photos. Both bedrooms have double doors to the outside, and NO windows. Nobody is going to sleep with the doors open. The fridge is too small and very difficult to get at.

Good weeks holiday.

Bathroom was good. Bedroom comfortable. Kitchen was clean with everything youd want.

TV remote didnt work. We bought new batteries but it still didnt work. Contacted Bill who arranged for universal remote which was delivered the next day. Something was wrong, however, with the sound - very tinny. Also kitchen tap kept on dripping which I reported.

Location of the property within the grounds. Very quiet location, yet not far from anywhere. Open plan kitchen, dining room & lounge worked very well. Always had hot water when needed.

Very uncomfortable bed. Very uncomfortable sofa, but chairs were OK.

All in all reasonably good accommodation at a fair price.

Nice and quiet location. Complete inventory, everything you might need is there.

Cottage needs some inside and outside maintenance. Pergola is rotten in dome area's, and will likely fall apart when leaned on. The gravel paths on the site, leading to the cottage, are really awful, full of unnecessary potholes. Furthermore, the reception is closed, nobody there. The site looks like it's becoming abandoned.

Good location. Comfy beds. Good to have washing machine and dishwasher.

Lightbulbs in lounge not working. Curtain rails in lounge barely attached to wall so we didn't dare close the curtains in case they fell down. Large patch of peeling paint in the bathroom by the the bath. Patches of mildew in hall, bedrooms and bathroom. Rotten skirting board and mouldy wall in hall by bathroom (where shower is presumably leaking). Broken clothes airers and armchair and sofa have rips in them. Dog hair in lounge rug.

Peaceful location

Loved how peaceful and quiet it was, the donkey sanctuary is within walking distance and a great place to visit we loved it, beautiful walks and nature reserves in the surrounding area, holiday home was spacious, very well equipped and clean, the beds were very comfortable and bedding and towels immaculate, we had a wonderful weeks stay thank you.
