    It was good for my trip
    The hotel is ideal for my needs for a short stop over on business trips.
    its always difficult to get a drink in the bar as you have to find staff to unlock the door and serve you.

    The staff members. The fact that extra toilet paper etc was no issue. The breakfast. The bed.
    The fact the room and bathroom were freezing when we arrived. The coffee was bitter. The TV was at an awkward angle for us both to watch it.

    A comfortable place for a nightstop, especially if you're travelling by train
    The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room comfortable and the vegetarian breakfast was the best we'd ever had.
    The renovation has been well done, but the water system lets you know when anyone else runs a tap or has a shower (from our room at least).

    Lovely restoration of a fascinating old building. Comfortable and clean. Easy parking. Friendly staff.
    A choice of how egg served at breakfast. Breakfast felt a little on the small side but tasty. Was disappointed no evening meal option, the hotel is about 3/4 mile out of the centre, which meant a walk alone on a cold dark night.

    Location & parking. Quite a quirky renovation.
    The lack of room numbers is frustrating when you arrive tired trying to find your room. The breakfast was very poor - the water boiler was tepid so the tea was un drinkable and the porridge pot a lukewarm mush.

    Won't cancel further nights if your not happy with your 1st night stay!
    Location, location, location and parking.
    Didn't live up to expectation/images/description. Room was drafty due to aged windows not being airtight. Noisey and very aged. Couldn't sleep as beds/bedding poor. Tried to remove further booking after 1st nights stay but wouldn't accept my complaint/request to cancel and so lost my deposit. Will now not use alternative hotel for further visits to the area.
