Lovely room, lovely staff , plenty of tea and coffee options. However it was a windy night and the windows rattled and let in a draught. . Such a shame as it was a very attractive looking room. Breakfast was great and again served by lovely staff.

The bathroom was freezing cold, the towel rail didnt provide enough heat. It really spoilt my stay and for 195 I expect to at least be warm. So I felt it was overpriced

So many issues , including , cleanliness , damaged furniture and furnishings , mould , poor breakfast . Not the superior experience for which I paid 240 one night B&B.

Lovely stay, fantastic staff but felt it was overpriced.

The hotel is a sprawling building along the sea front with lots of quirky features. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcomed. Our room (as requested) had a great sea view and was spacious, and the breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. We had no problems parking close to the hotel. It's also in a great location for local shops, cafes and restaurants and is only about 25 minutes walk into the town.

The room was very spacious yet only had a double bed; a king size would have been more comfortable. The room (and the rest of the hotel) was very clean but the bathroom looked a bit tired and in need of some TLC. The sealant around the shower was stained (it wasn't dirt as I tried to remove it); the sink taps were loose; the soap dish was too large for the soap; the same size dish was used in the shower and was too large for the small toiletries so they kept falling through (refillable containers on the wall would have been more environmentally friendly). The water pressure and temperature was also variable whilst I was showering but bonus points for the large fluffy towels.

Lovely Hotel over looking the sea, room was lovely and cosy staff were very nice and made you feel welcome. breakfast was good, lovely restaurant for dinner. We stayed here for Xmas and had a lovely time.

Breakfast very generous and varied. I wished I had more time to myself to walk along the promenade.

During my stay in December I was responsible for three elderly persons. I found the staff from reception to restaurant to house keeping so helpful when I asked for help. Everyone did their best to make everyone happy! Thank you all.

Good atmosphere/vibe. Well laid out with a comfortable lounge

The property is tired and needs new carpets throughout. A dog-friendly hotel but dogs were allowed in the furniture and restaurants.

Very disappointing for our Christmas stay. Total cost 700 for 2 nights!

Breakfast was OK. Why does shepherd neame use streaky bacon. No where else we have ever staid uses streaky bacon, it's always back bacon. This is a cheap fatty cut of bacon
