Exceptional

The room was lovely! Cosy, super clean and extremely comfortable. The shower had a great water pressure and the bath was luxurious. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was warm. The highlight of our trip was meeting Katie - a member of staff - who ensured all of our needs were met. She welcomed us so brightly, helped us locate several top restaurants in the area & went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! At breakfast, she gave us a welcome as though we were family - what more could you ask for! She is honestly a true credit to The Strutt Arms & due to Katie, we would come back in a heartbeat!

Excellent hotel . Owners and staff very friendly and helpful.

Owner went out of their way to look after us even though there was a power cut in the morning . Gave us a refund as he could not provide cooked breakfast for us due to power cut.

Superb

Excellent value for money, lovely stay & we will be back

Don't be put off by the outside! This is now called the 'Elephant & Castle'. Lots of parking but no option to 'check in' early. Internally decor is lovely, been refurbished to a high standard. Staff lovely & welcoming. Food delicious & cooked to perfection (Evening meal & Breakfast). Standard King room was lovely with large bathroom, lots of hot water & Wi-Fi. Bed comfy .

No early check in! We arrived an hour early at 2pm and all doors were locked, no response to phone calls either, as we were unsure we were in the right place! Waited in car park, a member of staff arrived at @ 2.50 and then we managed to check in.
