    Passable
A A great place which is looking a tad tired.
The room was clean, bed comfortable, breakfast was nice and most importantly available for the needs of my trip.
Arriving late, the signage could be better, as drove past the place twice! I have previously stayed in the Washaway area. The bottom of the kettle looked burnt, fittings (and bath surround) in the bathroom were not well fitted and tired. At breakfast there was not any fruit

Cosy and ideal for the Eden Project 30 mins away
I was caught in the recent storm that hit Cornwall and the stone cottage was a safe refuge, warm and cosy although the TV obviously struggled to cope with the high winds. The staff were helpful and it is a good base for visiting the Eden Project.

    Cosy & Welcoming
Very welcoming and cosy country hotel. Enjoyed the atmosphere and food in their restaurant, really easy to relax here. Our double room in the adjacent converted barn was comfortable and a family member, also travelling with us, was delighted with her cosy single room.
Aside from the weather the only thing worth noting is the quality of toiletries provided in the en-suite bathroom. A tomato ketchup type sachet of shampoo and the worlds smallest bar of individually wrapped soap. Wife says when we go again, which we will, she'll remember to take her own although by then they may have seen the light and gone a little more upmarket to either Molton Brown or even something local.

Lovely hotel, clean and tidy, friendly staff.
Shower dribbled and we were unable to turn the heating down in the room.

lovely country hotel, in a very good central location
Great location and hotel. Room was nice and spacious, with good furniture. Breakfast was very tasty and good selection. With friendly presentation by staff. A good hotel to be staying at
Toilet flushing isn't perfect, and the mattrass was a little uncomfortable, but still good for 1 of the sleepers. :)

A lot of character and history
Only a small thing, i nearly fell down the outside steps on the way round to our room. The outside light doesnt shine enough light onto the last step

    Bad
    Awful customer interaction
Sorry, but there really is nothing I can say with so little time spent. I'm sure it must have it's positives.
Wife felt accommodation insecure and isolated. She left immediately. Communication with owner less than satisfactory. Admittedly I was annoyed, but response from owner really couldn't have cared less, despite my wife now having to find somewhere on a dark/wet December night. Owner rightly said my wife should have spoken to them. However, at no point did they ask of her welfare, which I found infuriating, which increased my frustration. Hard to recommend in a hospitality sector. Customer interaction appalling.
