I am a born and raised Italian living in the US so I was waiting for many friends from the US to come stay with us the days prior to the wedding. The real problem with this villa was the concierge service (or the lack of it), which was absolutely poor and personally caused me so much stress. For a villa that costed over 7,000 EURO for 4 nights, I cannot understand how it was possible that I was not given an option to leave the keys or allow a dear guest (who, by the way, arrived at the villa to celebrate my wedding on September 9) and her 7-month-old baby to enter on September 7th (a day after we checked in). The concierge, couldn't provide a solution, even though she was given 3 chances. She instead always came up with a different excuse not to get involved. On September 7th, I had organized a boat trip for 40 friends from the United States that were visiting for my wedding, and I had to leave the outing at 1 PM to personally go and open the door for my friend (by the way, I had to pay 70 EURO out of my pocket for a boat ride from Amalfi to Marina di Praia). This is absolutely unacceptable - nobody wanted to believe me when I was telling them the reason I was coming back just to open the villa for my friend. Furthermore, I did not appreciate that two days before check-in, the villa was listed on Booking at a rate of about $1000 less per night. Finally, the pool is very small and too cold for my friend's 7 months daughter, the kitchen was definitely too small for a house that big, and the sauna only worked one time. The villa is in a very secluded, hard to reach area. Parking is impossible, and there are lots of steps you will need to go through with your luggage. Finally, I messaged the property on booking to tell them about their concierge behaviour. Not only the won't do anything about it, but the concierge was simultaneously offending me on whatsapp.
