Villa Villa Verde by Interhome

The host was unhelpful. There weren't even any basics in the kitchen, everything had to be provided by ourselves. The swimming pool had a major issue and was out of use most of our holiday as we saw this as a major health hazard and it looked generally dirty. Very very disappointing and no one would help us. The pool started to go very dirty by our 2nd day (it did not look normal) so I messaged the 'host' photos of the swimming pool.. no reply, had to chase the next day and then she replied with a video in Portuguese (I do not speak the language) trying to show us what was wrong but this meant nothing to us, also telling us that the pool man was there the day I had text but she did not arrange this with us. We were told the guy was coming back to next day as one of the rubber rings of the pump was broken and he would replace it and no one came. I believe this was a known problem with the pool before we arrived because the state of the pool deteriorated extremely quickly and there were no pump movements from day 1. They came and put a load of chemicals in the pool and told us we couldn't use it and it would be back to normal in a couple of days.... nothing changed and we weren't able to use the pool for the remainder of our holiday so in total, we missed out on use of the pool for 75% of our time at the villa. Completely RUINED our trip as we had kids with us who wanted to play in the pool. Still ongoing issues with Booking.com and Interhome who will not resolve the issue, even told us they have sent a refund when they haven't! Horrendous service and really disappointing!!! Would advise to speak to Interhome before you travel to make sure this problem has been resolved. Photo attached vs what is advertised, very different!
