Almost everything was perfect! There were just a few small hiccups, but the staff worked hard to solve everything. The biggest issue for me personally was the air conditioning in our room. We visited this resort in July, which is obviously very hot outside; our room was never cooler than 25 Celsius (77F), even overnight, and the room temperature averaged 26-27 C (80+F). I asked the front desk if anything could be done, but they couldn't. Also, one morning we woke up to water coming from the ceiling; they fixed it almost immediately, and we didn't have a problem with that again. And, we had asked the front desk to organize a taxi to take us to a neighboring farm for a wine tasting; the driver no-call-no-showed. When the front desk realized the driver wasn't coming, they asked one of their employees to take us in his personal vehicle, which was incredibly nice and accommodating of them all (thank you, Remo, for helping us!); the original driver did show up to take us back to the resort after our wine tasting, but he was late. Since this driver no-call-no-showed the first time and was late the second time, we decided to cancel him for our second outing. I guess my advice to the hotel would be to seek out more reliable drivers, BUT I will say that the front desk told me I should have informed them we needed transportation well in advance of our stay--so, maybe all their good/reliable drivers were already busy by the time we asked. And, the service in the bar/bistro/pool area was really slow, probably because they only ever had one person on staff serving everyone in those areas. I would suggest having a few more people to serve these areas, since our server Yuri worked hard (thank you, Yuri!) but was just alone most of the time.
