    Budget, good value for money. Excellent helpful staff.
    Amazingly helpful staff. Very friendly, always going out of their way to make the stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. The free shuttle service in Ubud was a great touch.
    The property was old and slightly run down. It is definitely not a luxury hotel despite the ratings and stars. It is reasonable value for money. There are much better resorts in Bali at the price point.

    Overall, we loved staying in Alam Jiwa, such as beautiful place.
    Everything was amazing. Only thing is that bathroom was a bit dark, and bathtub does not have any grab bars or something to hold on to, so my old mother was scared.
    The toilet seat (side of it, so it was hard to find, maybe..) had BM stain from previous guests and I had to clean, that was sad, and the sink leaked from pipe underneath.

    10 days of relaxing bliss, with wonderful friendly and attentive staff. Already planning to return.
    Staff were outstanding. The property is small in a hidden private oasis, surrounded by green/gardens/rice fields - quiet and peaceful, yet within walking distance of reasonable restaurants, and, if energetic, Ubud (though the hotel provides a shuttle service into Ubud). The architectural style and ambience are traditional Balinese, with comfortable, immaculately clean, spacious rooms well set apart and private balconies. Located in a pretty village near Monkey Forest. Generous breakfast, which could be served on your balcony, by the pool or in a small communal area. Could order in food (lunch/dinner).

    Charming hotel with super friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Built in traditional balenese style years ago it is beatufully absorbed by vegitation. We got a distinct feel of merge with nature. Our room overlooking small river and rice fields boosted this feeling and provuded great views and sounds. Especially in the evenings when croaking frogs accompany chirping beatles. Alam Jiwa is set in quiet neighborhood 10 mins walk from monkey forest. Warungs and restaurants are located even closer and offer diverse food options.

    Perfect retreat surrounded by nature
    Beautiful, small family run hotel with incredibly warm, welcoming and thoughtful staff. The smells you smell in the gardens/your terrace, the wildlife you see from your terrace, and the calmness of the pool area are sublime.
    Nothing - I wish I could have stayed longer!

    lovely and quiet. beautiful and peaceful. great location in a quit neighborhood with plenty of things to do and places to eat in walking distance. wonderful attentive staff. felt very safe on my own.
    facilities are a little dated but I find that charming.

    This place and staff are just perfect.
    This place takes you out of time, out of your everday life into something...magical. Sit on your veranda and just listen and look, eat breakfast to the sound of the water, the birds, life buzzing around you. Enjoy. And the staff are just perfect.
