Lovely three night stay, in a beautiful rural location.
The staff were welcoming on arrival and our room was very clean, good quality bed linen and bed was exceptionally comfortable. We had pre booked dinner and the food was excellent, as was breakfast in the morning. Restaurant and bar staff were friendly and helpful.
Our room was across a small courtyard and during our stay there were heavy frosts. The courtyard was extremely slippery and dangerous. We requested at reception that either grit or salt be put down, but this did not happen. Also the use of the swimming pool was not free to hotel guests.

Comfortable, clean room. Restaurant food was fab.
There were no appointments available to book spa treatments on the 2 days we stayed. However, I did only book this trip 2 weeks prior. Also drinks in the bar/ restaurant are very expensive but this is to be expected. Also the electricity went out in the morning we were checking out but this was unavoidable, and we were given free breakfast to compensate.

Initial disappointment at unincluded breakfast and pool, "nothing special" room made this poor value
breakfast not included - but we expected it was from the website - though we had not booked it we though we had.
Pool was not included, again we believed from the website that it was.
On arrival we were already disappointed before we even got to the room. Maybe this is down to Booking.com, or the hotel. But left a bitter taste finding we had paid 160 a night room only - not the value we expected. and it was not a special room in any way.
Non-included services were a let down
Noisy neighbours chatted and banged about (not in a good way) in their room until 3am and started again at 6am.
I think we'd have had just a good a hotel at a Premier Inn and saved 100.

I went there with my wife to relax and for me to play golf. I was surprised to hear that one course was closed and that it happens every year. Good job I met a friend there who is a member or I would not have been able to play.

The food was phenomenal was all cooked to order and tasted amazing from breakfast to dinner and if you have allergies don't worry as they cater for them, best food I have had at a hotel for a long time.
There was nothing I didn't like everything was perfect.
