Room - it had a strong smell of humidity, whilst the washroom constantly smelled of cigarette smoke for some reason. The sheets also smelt humid, to the point where I had to put a towel on top of my pillow. My room was on the ground level and facing a construction site, we had a couple of rainy days and I wasn't able to stay in my room during the day as the work was loud to the point of making the ground shake. My room wasn't cleaned at all on one of the days and on the final day I returned to my room an hour before checkout to shower and pack only to find all the towels had been taken away.
Service - some really nice people but a fair few members of staff were grumpy. Appreciate this is a management issue and i regularly noticed guests acting entitled and rude towards them, but it made me avoid using the facilities freely as it felt uncomfortable at times. Check in was okay but check out was very rude - I had to repeat my room no. several times as the person serving me would stop listening, they barked "credit card" at me without telling me the amount I am paying. Gave me a small piece of paper without explanation which I didn't realise i needed to hand to the bell boys. Getting in the taxi felt like a relief after that.
Food - dinner at the buffet wasn't great. Overall the food at the buffet had labels with the name but no details on ingredients/allergens. I don't eat meat so I can only hope I didn't accidentally have any. It is difficult to get reservations at the restaurants. I ended up doing dinner at one of the premium restaurants, however food there wasn't great. I got food which wasn't as described - what was meant to be lobster with a baked potato and caviar was in fact lobster with wedges and fish roe in a spicy mayo sauce. When eating at the buffet I only ever managed to get a drink once - I either had nobody come up or whatever I ordered would never come.
