    The Cotswold Lodge Hotel is praised for its great location near the city centre, tastefully decorated rooms, and friendly staff. Guests appreciate the option of parking before check-in and the nearby (Read More) open-top bus tour. The staff went above and beyond to assist a guest who fell ill, providing excellent service and checking in regularly. However, warm temperatures made sleeping difficult, and some felt the staff seemed rushed and stressed.

    Overall very good.
    The location is excellent for the city centre and university buildings yet quiet as it is a little way out.
    The fish served in the evening meal of fish and chips was not cod or haddock. I reckon it was pollock which is tasteless. A hotel of this quality should be serving a higher quality fish.

    Friendly Staff, Great Location
    Staff were very friendly, relaxing environment in a great location with free parking.
    The rooms were a little outdated but didn't really mind as they were cosy.

    Great location. Free car parking. Attentive and friendly staff.
    A very small room compared to our last stay. The room was shabby, with a lot of dust on the skirting boards and behind the bed, and hair in the bath plughole.

    Breakfast was very good and flexible to how we wanted it. Staff were attentive and very pleasant. Bar area was a nice area to relax and have a drink, which in our case was a delightful hot chocolate. Location suited us, as we could park at the hotel and walking to the city centre and restaurants was only 20 minutes.
    Nothing really. It suited us perfectly. We had been here before and will stay here again.

    Lovely except for the concerning lack of security
    Good location. Helpful bar staff and catering for allergies
    Someone opened our room door with a key at 11pm and left it open. I subsequently discovered that you cannot lock the door from the inside so did not feel secure. When I talked to reception about this incident they seemed unconcerned and said it must have been housekeeping- seems unlikely at 11pm and why then leave the door open?
