The worst hotel I have ever stayed in !

We thought the receptionist who we think was called Jen was excellent. She welcomed us to the hotel and tried to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. You could not fault her at all, and she was a real asset to the hotel.

When we booked on the website it stated that the hotel was 5.6 miles from Winchester which is correct, but to get back to the hotel from Winchester is a 25 mile round trip! You have to go up the M3 until the Basingstoke A30 turn off and come all the way back down the M3. The disgusting state of the room : 1- The bath had a brown ring of dirt all the way round. 2- The kettle did not work. 3- The bathroom floor was filthy. 4- The bath taps were broken 5- We had either screws or nails just sticking out of the wall where a picture had previously been but the manager had not replaced it. 6 -We could not get a cup of tea as the kettle didn't fit in the electricity socket. 7 - We had to boil the kettle on top of the stairs. 8 - The hair dryer had melted.

Disappointing

Ok

The price was great.

When we arrived in the room there was someone else's clothes behind the bathroom door, hair in the bath and on the walls above. Cobwebs hanging down over the beds, half a roll of toilet paper for a 3 night stay for 3 people.
