Complete incompetence and unprofessionalism w/ their amateur staff. After leaving here for the last time following a 4th stay, no more. I will no longer be a customer of Doubletree. This particular location was the worst. How does a hotel check someone into a room with no operating heat in the winter? It was broken to begin with, not functioning with a motor broken after I called a maintenance worker up to look at the thermostat that was down. He couldn't fix it. When asked to move to another room I rejected it being that my luggage was all unpacked, it was late and me being in pajamas ready for bed following a 6 hr drive to this area. When I requested a discount on the room, I was told upon leaving that it would be 40% off. I then get a cell phone call in my car after leaving saying that the 40% discount is denied because I did not change rooms. Amazing huh? The desk associate was incredibly rude when I challenged him. Wasn't even a manager. A manager was not present which is the new thing EVERYWHERE from hotels to restaurants, but I believe they lie with a manager in a back office not wanting to be bothered. They are also dumb in this hotel. I couldn't even pass thru their hallway as a housekeeping cart and vacuum blocked the common areas. Just pure stupidity. It is a Post Covid era and they will use Covid as an excuse for sub par service until the end of time. Just how it is. This place is not alone. Get use to horror stories and God awful service everywhere. The older generation will attest to this observation. Even checking out, nobody is at the desk. You stand there like a wallflower. Unless you value poor service and don't mind, this hotel is for you. Oh, it is also Kiddieland. You will hear kids running in the corridors on and off all the time here like Romper Room. Four stays I did here, and all four times this was the case. My final stay at Doubletree is history. Good luck people. Maybe you will get a taste of what I experienced.
