The downtown location is perfect. you can get anywhere in the downtown. Especially the Amelia arena is really near by. The free tram to Ybor is also excellent.
There were two things. The elevators - they were major bottleneck. it was not unusual to wait 10-15 minutes to get into the one. The second one is vallet parking - firstly it is quite pricey, but ok. But during the check-out time, you have to wait 30 minutes plus for the car, and that is (for the price) just not ok.

Good location but needs some TLC.
Location was nice and the primary beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good.
Several elevators werent working. When I called down to the front desk, the lady told me to take the stairs. After wandering around looking for the stairs, I was told there were no stairs on the third floor. Only after waiting for another 10 minutes did I find out I could take stairs outside of the building off the pool area which I did.
The valet parking had a ticket you were supposed to text when you were ready to leave. We did this 10 minutes before leaving and even got a text back confirming they were looking into it. But then we found out that this system didnt work in fact and that there was a line of 50 people waiting to get their car.
The pull out bed was very uncomfortable. The head was tilting down and I woke up with a sore shoulder.
When sitting down for breakfast, the table smelt like they had been washed with dirty bleach water.
Also, the pool wasnt working when we stayed.

The hotel is neat and clean. Beautiful rooms very well maintained. Location is a 10+.
The infinite long lines at breakfast. Very hard to find a place to eat your breakfast. It's impossible for two people to make quick omelets for the whole hotel.

only downside was the restaurant is small and we were kind of ignored so went back to room and ordered delivery to room

Ruined my 26 year anniversary. NEVER AGAIN HILTON
Nothing. My stay almost ruined my anniversary. Never staying at this Hilton again
Food was bad. I was upcharged for a terrible room. Bed was uncomfortable. Pillows were terrible. Room layout is terrible. Doors open into each other like no one planned the layout. Light switch for the bathroom was not easily accessible. Valet was a nightmare. I paid for the location. Nothing else. I might has well have slept in my car. Would have been better.
