Superb

Lovely place to stay. We will definitely be back.

The location was great--lots of great restaurants and shopping walking distance. And the hotel gave us rides to local places we wanted to visit. The room was lovely and comfortable. The staff was super! The restaurant in the hotel was really good. And we used the Spa which we really enjoyed.

When we were there the pool had lots of kids which made it less attractive for us. And we were hoping for a hot tub which they did not have.

Does not deserve the money, only the room was nice and clean, nothing else.

The rooms were nice and clean.

It does not deserve the money, we selected Fairmont to have a luxury stay, but there was not a jacuzzi, the swim pool was small, outdated, and the water temperature was not warm enough, so I was not able to use it. The spa is not included, there is no space in the reception area to sit together as a family. No view from the rooms, they were facing the pool, so we can only see the small pool and the public garages ceiling, which was not a good view. Also, the staff was not friendly and was not welcoming, except the one came to open the door between our two connected rooms. Starting from the one in front of the hotel, he did not open the door, did not welcome us or ask us to help with our luggage, not sure what is his job then. The reception team was not nice at all, they just get the job done to check us in, not considering that we have been travelling for hours to reach the hotel and we should be welcomed, and they need to be trained on how they treat their guests in a friendly welcoming manner. When I asked the reception about rate for my company, she asked me if I am working there, I said yes, she then asked me again to show her my ID, even before she replied to me, as if I am lying. I was expecting, she should reply to me first, and if there is any discounted rate, then she asks about the ID. Very rude way.

Not as nice as other Fairmonts, room amenities didn't work

The hotel is nice, but not as upscale as other Fairmont locations. We were there at Christmas so the lobby was festive and the restaurant and tea room were beautifully decorated. The beds in the room were very comfortable and the location is central and within walking distance to just about everything downtown.

I felt this Fairmont wasn't worth the price. We usually love Fairmonts but probably wouldn't return to this one. The A/C or heat in our room didn't work (luckily the window opened), and neither did the TV remote. Not a huge deal, but the bathroom was also very small. It was a fine room but definitely not worth it for the price.
