Superb

Very friendly staff, great location, good food. Comfortable beds, great having a dyson hairdryer in the room. Great breakfast.

The hotel was a little dated in places. Maybe a lick of paint is needed in some areas.

Very good

Location. Great for exploring the New Forest and a short easy walk into the village centre. Very tasty breakfast. The second room we had was exceptional, it was large, clean, comfortable and came with everything that we had expected from the Booking.com description when we booked.

The room we were put in did not match the Booking.com description. It was definitely not a superior king size room. We had no bath robes or slippers and the hot drinks selection was poor. Also it must have had a dog in it before as it smelt of dog and outside the window was two full dog poo bags We raised this with staff and they moved us to a room which matched our booking requirements. The new room was fantastic and it would have been better if we had this room from the start as this is what we had booked.

Fabulous property, great location, we will return.

We booked the suite which was a fabulous room. Everywhere was very clean and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The two evening meals we had at the property were lovely and breakfast was good too.

We would have liked a lounge to be able to relax in with a drink after our evening meal or to have a coffee during the day rather than sit in the bar or restaurant.

Very enjoyable and excellent value

Great location in the New Forest. Hotel recently refurbished and rooms were very good and clean. Very nice in house restaurant and bar, also a summer garden. Excellent value.

Service in the restaurant at dinner was a bit slow.

Lovely hotel, beautiful rooms and lovely helpful staff

Booked a dulux room with a 'king size bed', and turned up to 2 single beds pushed together that weren't even the same height

Lovely setting and warm welcome

Apart from my evening meal everything was good. The staff were all very good in every way.

The dish that I ordered for dinner was cooked ok but I had anticipated some fresh vegetables with it - there were no potatoes and the vegetables included were minuscule and over cooked. I would have liked a steak knife to cut the lamb.
