It was just like the little things, that they need to fix. Example having balinese music in the lobby area, also when you check in having cold towels ready for guests or a drink even. These are things that have been done every time I've come to other hotels in Bali the other 7 times I've been there. Also they forced my sister and her partner to put down a deposit or whatever they called it but then didn't force me? We also received a drinks voucher and a massage voucher upon check in, just to find out the only thing I can get with the voucher is a juice, like seriously.... 1200 dollars spent at the hotel and I cant even get a bintang with it... I work for a hotel chain here in Australia and we give actual drink vouchers where people can get a beer or wine or spirit if they want, this place should be doing the same. And as for the massage voucher there wasn't even a discount. The voucher we had said 150k massage but on the menu it was 120k or something like that? So the massage voucher wasn't even a discount you were actually paying more, which made no sense. Also regarding the staff some how the security guards, towel guys and cleaners are more friendly than the bar staff, waiters and receptionists. You should consider switching their roles, lol... It wasn't so much that they were rude, just lack of manners and not saying hello or smiling. Where as the towel guys and the cleaners and security would actually stop to have a conversation with you. It's also pretty old, some things just falling apart a bit, for example the pool table is rubbish, tried to play one game didn't even bother trying to play another one. The food is pretty mediocre, not terrible but definitely room for improvement. The beds were rock hard, some people like that though, I don't it could be personal preference. I also got locked out of my room twice cause my card wasn't working, which wasn't a big deal but just a bit annoying.
