I wasn't happy that the last night we had asked for an extension that you sent an email to me around 2:30 pm telling me we were being asked to leave because you rented the room out from under us to somebody else. You claimed there were no other rooms available. Then called me at 4 pm telling me we had to vacate the room. Since I didn't know about the email at that time I couldn't understand why you would kick us out when we got approved for the extension through Thursday morning. My husband went personally to the reception desk and made the request. At no time did you bring up that I had made the booking through a 3rd party and therefore it couldn't be extended. You didn't say anything to my husband on Tuesday when he made the first request about it couldn't be done for that reason. You approved it. Later you claimed it was a new front desk person and they didn't know that rule. My husband told me that Ashley the one that called and told us to leave was the one who helped the new desk person to set it up for Wednesday and Thursday. The real problem is that they threw a grieving family out of the hotel who only wanted to stay the extra night to be with family. My father in law passed away and his funeral viewing was Tuesday and his funeral services was Wednesday. We wanted that one night to catch up with my husband's brother and his family who we don't get to see except Christmas or Thanksgiving usually. it's very hard to leave a family member at a hotel that was highly recommended by us only to be told to leave for their error. Shame on you.
Oh and there was a roach in our room which was 405. The bathroom door didn't stay closed. The queen beds both slid during the night if you turned over.
We always made sure to stay loyal to this Hampton Inn Waco South but never again. They treated us horribly after making a mistake on their part and didn't want to admit it was their fault.
