Reviewers Mention About Hampton Inn Savannah Historic District
The Hampton Inn Savannah Historic District is highly praised for its prime location, cleanliness, and attentive staff. The recently renovated hotel offers well-equipped facilities, including a fitnes (Read More)s room and a nice pool area. However, the parking situation is less than ideal, with expensive valet service and limited on-site parking. Guests recommend using a nearby parking garage for more affordable options. Overall, it is a great choice for those looking to explore the historic district and enjoy a comfortable stay.

Breakfast was good with lots of variety. Location was really good with central access to the historic district.
No pets, PLEASE!. I wondered why it smelled like a wet dog when we got there. Then almost every time we went out we had to ride the elevator with dogs and their people.

Enjoyed Savannah
Clean. Walking distance to several places.
Our room was next to busiest street in historic district and we did not sleep well. Traffic was bad all night long. Need better insulated windows. Fee for parking was way too high. Initial booking does not mention parking fee.

Good
Nice place but be prepared to pay for parking.
Mostly it was a nice stay. We have been driving all day in rain and it was cold so it was nice to get out of the weather. The room was great and beds comfortable. We got it up to temperature once we figured out how to operate the heater. Breakfast was great with way more options than we could eat.
It was a big surprise that we had to pay for parking since we booked with the parking check checked. Apparently, parking does not mean free parking. We ended up parking in a city parking garage with a homeless person in the stairwell for $9. as opposed to the $45 Holiday Inn wanted to charge to valet park in their own garage. They did not have a self park option. Aside from the parking it was a great place.

Great location for short staying in Savannah . If youre not traveling with pets, check my comments.
Great location
Great breakfast
The rooms are comfortable
Good beds and pillows
The parking and valet prices are extremely high. It does not make sense with all the public parking available around.
The hotel is pet friendly, so it can get crowded with dogs.
If you are not travelling with pets, ask for a 6th or 7th floor room, as the pets stay at the 4th floor, and it gets noisy and messy when they meet on corridors and common areas.
