    Cartagena was a nice trip.
    Staff was excellent, helpful anytime they were asked. They are very customer oriented. The breakfast was good. Public transportation was great, taxi of bus in front of hotel about anytime we needed. They also helped us sign up for a city tour, which was very good.
    Well, being fair to new travelers, it has very small rooms. They made an offer prior to booking for a larger room, ocean view, etc. it was exactly the same size. Not a suite. For 50 US more a day, cancelled that. Overall, the place is run down, needs tables in the rooms, as the place for a suitcase is on the floor. It is loud! The party buses start about 9pm and run until 1130 or so. It is extreme. We lost power in our room, the breakers kept going off. Had to go to a new room, from the 5th floor to the 3rd. Much louder the on lower floor. I dont mean to bash the hotel, but there is much room for improvement. They have a beachfront property, good location, with a lot of potential.

    Slightly disappointing stay. Not what we imagined
    Friendly and helpful staff. Nice views from the rooms - right next to the beach
    Hotel was very dated. It looked nothing like the photos. Breakfast was very limited. Only one type of eggs (scrambled or boiled), some bread for toast, meat and fruit. Our room was VERY NOISY. The rooms only have a single pane of glass so it sounds like youre outside. The honking from the traffic outside can get quite bad during rush hour and on some nights the party buses go by every 30 seconds blasting really loud music. If youre looking to stay somewhere a bit more relaxing then I would suggest looking near the old town instead.

    Good for the price, but not cheap
    The location is great, since it is close to the airport and the most well-known places that are necessary to visit. The sea view is spectacular, the price is good. The breakfast is the best!
    Some places in the building need maintenance. Some elevator buttons are not working (the 4th floor) and the elevator makes some noise that seems to need maintenance also. The pool should be cleaner. The TV channels doesn't work, the coder provider is Tigo, but only the local channels worked, I called the reception but no one responded to the phone.

    Great location,pool, staff, breakfast, view..expect to get ear plugs for evenings, then it is quiet.
    Location, good breakfast, very good staff, the sea view, pool and bar! Easy bus to old Cartagena.close to Berlinas , one block,to go to Santa Marta
    It,is noisy..but with ear plugs it,s okay. The sea view is over a large road. Expect noise in the evening. But it is quiet in night.

    There is always an alternative
    The staff in the hotel during the stay was friendly, the problems only started afterwards.
    Despite being on the 5th floor the room was very noisy. Basically no sound insulation towards the busy street outside despite closed windows. The room did not have a nice feeling at all only a single light for the whole room, improvised cabling at the TV. Furniture felt dated and cheap. After a late check in there was no other option than to stay. But I did leave early the next morning. I was promised a reimbursement for the other 2 planned nights but they seem not to be able to handle international bank accounts and also took directly a cut of 20% for additional effort. So far the money was not received on the provided Colombian bank account after more than 14 days.
