The Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront provided excellent customer service and accommodations. Early check-in, valet service, and easy charging to the room were appreciated. Over priced for below average service
Location and the room
On NYE in the tavern, there were only 2 people working and after a game. Took 1 hour before we were acknowledged. Took 2 hours to get a drink and food. Food order was incorrect when it finally came out.

The room. The HVAC did not work despite repeated contact with the hotel. The appliances in the room were not all functional. The television was mounted tilted slightly towards the ceiling not the beds or chairs. (wrong bracket).

Price of everything was crazy. 4 or 5 dollars for a small bottle of water and no coke products at restaurants . Then add on the parking cost when hotel was pricey already.

I did not like the car parking charges, and the worst is that they will automatically charge you $29 per night even if you do not have a car. You will have to discuss it with them to drop these added charges.

The silver lining was the engineer had enough moral guts and integrity to tell me and the management exactly that the heater could not be fixed. He did the right thing by suggesting to transfer me to a better room. Overall this experience dampened my view of this property even though it was resolved, I felt that the management was intentionally selling rooms with defective heaters.
When I first checked in I was given a room with a heater that is not working properly. I have a feeling the front desk knows it but gave it to me anyway. The mgmt would have wanted me to stay in the room with a defective heater if not for the engineer.
