Serious issue with lift overcrowding and delays. Only 4 small lifts for such a huge hotel is a disaster. Sometime waiting more than 10-15 minutes for a lift that you could get in.
Tried to change Bed and Breakfast deal to a Bed and Lunch deal but hotel point blankly refused. Breakfast times far to overcrowded.

The location is perfect and the fact that it has a beach is a plus amongst other hotels in this area. Food is great, people helpful, we liked everything about this place.

Very friendly and helpful staff (except one arrogant guy at the reception), well organised procedures to serve the guests, nice pools, nice solutions.
Smelly bed, not obvious explanation how the child bed is solved (paid for 3 persons, while got one bed with one blanket, extra bed would mean extra cost), the interrior (wallpaper, wall joints, tiles and other construction) in the room was low quality job, the sight from the balcony was simply mid-class, not luxury like the other details in the building.

The property is at a nice location and very big and has a lot of facilities. The rooms are spacious and have beautiful balconies. Both sea view and garden view is nice.
The main problem with this hotel is the service and the staff.
The service is zero and the staff are very useless and not helpful at all. They are not smiling or welcoming and they seem not happy with their jobs.
We woke up at very unhappy faces and looks, we ask for tea and coffee we dont get it for ages. They serve the food and drink in a very unpleasant way. One waiter even looked at us when we asked him to come to our table, then he walked away and never came.
The food quality is very low and its obvious that the managers are saving on food quality and types.
The egg station chef outdoor ran out for eggs and ask ME to go grab eggs from inside!!!!!
Then he pretended to add ingredients to the omelette while the ingredients plates were empty and he was too lazy to go to refill it, then he asked my son to go to the indoor chef instead!!!!!!!!!
I find this ridiculous honestly and should never happen in 5 star hotels.
Finally I will never recommend this hotel nor go there again.

Beware - Disappointing Experience at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana

We recently stayed at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana in Abu Dhabi, expecting a luxurious 5-star experience as advertised. Unfortunately, our experience was far from it, and I feel compelled to warn others.
Upon arrival, the reception insisted on charging my credit card for the full nine days before we even saw our room. Trusting in the hotel's reputation, I complied. However, the moment we opened our room door, we were greeted by an unpleasant odor, and the room's condition was appalling - outdated and unclean, nothing like the pictures advertised.
We immediately decided not to stay and informed the staff, who then showed us another room, which was equally disappointing. I contacted Booking.com, explaining the situation and requesting a refund. The hotel's response was slow and unsatisfactory, even after Booking.com's intervention.
To our dismay, the hotel insisted on charging us for one night, which I find unacceptable given the circumstances. We were promised a refund for the remaining days, but over a week later, we are still waiting for it.
The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt more akin to a mediocre 3-star establishment rather than the promised 5-star experience. The food was also not up to standard, being heavily promoted yet lacking in quality.
I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The reality does not match the advertisement, and the customer service is severely lacking. Please be cautious and consider other options when staying in Abu Dhabi to avoid falling into a similar trap.

Location, easy to get taxi & travel, although hard to walk out due to cars blocking all the sidewalks. Good gym and breakfast.
1.Staff pretended to be friendly, but once you ask for anything they got rude and commenting it is what it is.
2.Hotel allows to smoke everywhere - if you are non-smoker, dont go to this hotel. We had people smoking around us and even staff was adding beda so more peope could be cowded around pool and smoke we had small baby by nobody cared and when asked not to smoke at pools bed, everyday we were told hotel allows it and they are on holiday, staff did not care about it.
3.Sauna & relax is a disaster . If anyone wants to get a skin disease, you can go there - smell, lack of hygiene, lack of anyone to manage it.
4. Hotel is used - this is rather 3star facility that once was good but needs detailed refarb.
5. Lack of safety - my pregnant wife fell into wanter pool water outflow of the pool beacuse it was broken and covered. When she fell down people from facility run to her but after this, they covered the problem instead of fixing it. Next day Not to my surprise another person fell in same place they only cared it looks ok since there was a safety control.
