Where do we start... Firstly, and the most annoying thing of the stay was that the shower didn't work at all. It was an electric shower that made a loud noise and delivered absolutely no water. Consider heading to a party when you can't shower before or after the event. When we subsequently told the hotel about this we were dismissed with you should have contacted us at the time, that is a bit difficult when there was no one at reception.
My partner stayed in the room while I headed out so she thought she would chill with a bit of TV. Oh no, only about 2 channels work! Needless to say she was not impressed. We did look to see if the cables were not in the TV properly. They were but the mess behind the desk did shock us a little. The cleanliness of the place has room for improvement.
At least the room was comfortable. Again, hold your horses. There is a draught that comes through the thin window. So tuck in tight if you are going to this hotel. When we arrived, the window was wide open with no heating on - in December! - so the room was absolutely freezing and not comfortable at all. We actually huddled up together in the bathroom to generate some heat.
Finally, I should mentioned that I returned from my night out at around 12.30am. So early, but you still expect to be able to get in. I had to knock on windows around the entrance until I found someone in the TV area that could let me in. The reception were no where to be found. So, along with the other advice in this message, I would suggest taking a sleeping bag just in case. If I told the receptionist, she would have probably told me that I should have taken my car keys to sleep in there!
Only go to this hotel if you absolutely have to! A tent might be more comfortable, however.
