Guests enjoyed various spa treatments and found the overall experience to be good value for money. However, there were minor issues such as outdated facilities and expensive drinks.     Great place to stay with family
    The children really enjoyed the swimming pool and the gym; also the sauna and steam room were great and relaxing. Clean rooms and room service every day. Overall this was a great place to stay.
    At Breakfast it was a shame there was no coffee machine available to help yourself, instead you have to wait for staff to bring it to you at the table; in one occasion we only received one coffee instead of two and another morning we were forgotten so the coffee came very late and we had to chase. This was probably down to short staff during the Festive Season.

    very large bed - breakfast good quality and choice - free parking
    Mix up at booking.com - I had clicked include breakfast when on Booking.com but when we arrived we were told this hadn't been registered. As a consequence, they wanted to charge 24 per person so 48 for two people, and when challenged they told me my contract was with Booking.com and nothing could be done. This is of course despite the fact they could charge whatever they wanted as the breakfast was under their control. I felt an attempt to increase the overall cost - they did reduce it to 18 each but not the 12 originally selected when booking.

    The setting was encouraging
    The accessible room had a bath When I raised this I was firmly put in my place by the reception team Firstly it was my fault for not checking, secondly it qualified as an accessible room due to it having a lower bed and finally the receptionist informed me that his brother could manage a bath and he uses a wheelchair. Does Macdonalda have any idea how offensive that kind of blanket statement is?

    It looked as though it used to be quite high-end, but has not had the investment put in to maintain it, so a fair bit of it is starting to look rather tired & worn now.

    Sports bar was closed, empty restaurant at 730pm, room in desperate need of decorating, couldnt even empty the bath water. Breakfast was cold.
