    Thoroughly enjoyed it
    Good location, good comfortable room, quaint old building. Good breakfast choices. This is the 4th or 5th time we have stayed in Bruges, first time at Martins. Yes we would do it again.
    Christmas Markets could have been better but it won't deter me from going again.

    A pleasant hotel in a good location.
    Great location with an easy walk into the main shopping area and Christmas market. A lovely lounge and bar area decorated for Christmas.
    Lots of narrow stairs on the way to our room. The room was a little small.

    Delightful place to spend an indulgent touristy weekend.
    Location great, right next to a canal and very easy walking from the Markt. Breakfast very good. Staff very helpful. Room was lovely with high ceilings and big windows.
    A larger selection of fresh fruit at breakfast would have been welcome.

    This was our third stay at this hotel. We stayed in the three rooms just outside the entrance to the hotel in the courtyard. We like the location which is quiet but close to the centre of Bruges. The hotel is quirky but pretty and the staff are nice enough. Breakfast is a bit expensive (for what you get) but fine.
    We stayed for two nights and on coming back to the room on the second day the room looked like the cleaning had consisted of making the bed and straightening the bathroom, nothing else had been moved including two dirty glasses. It appeared the cleaner did the bare minimum. After checking out and leaving the hotel (on the third day) I realised (about 1.5 hours later) that I had left my diamond earrings in the room. In a strange coincidence I had taken a picture of the room which showed the earrings on the mantelpiece (shortly before checkout). I called the hotel to be told that they could not be found, even after sending them the picture showing their location. I called the local police who took the matter seriously enough to visit the hotel (thank you!) but ultimately they could not do anything further. I also emailed the hotel manager setting out the situation and received no reply. Considering that nothing was touched in the room the day before it seems astounding that the earrings completely vanished. Maybe I am naive but I expected them to be found where they had been left and was surprised they were not there. The lack of empathy from the hotel staff and lack of response from the manager showed that they could not care less. The earrings were of both monetary and sentimental value and for them to have disappeared only 90 minutes after leaving them in a locked room was very disappointing. If you stay here make sure to keep all your valuables in the safe or on your person.

    Beautiful hotel set in lovely surroundings. Would definitely stay again.
    Very warm and welcoming. Staff were very attentive.
    Although there was a partial handrail the canal entrance there was not one at the main entrance. This made it difficult for me to enter at times.
