    I paid very little but if I had paid full amount I would have asked for immediate refund and left.
    Friendly staff. Room was spacious and clean.
    Psychiatric hospital vibes once you drive onto hire land. General air of neglect such as outside lamps laying around. Original room stank of cigarettes so had to be moved but this was done quickly. Smoking area is right outside bedroom block so had to put up with drunk people hanging around for an hour late at night. Lack of communication from reception eg corridors lights and bedroom phone all out of order on arrival after storm but wasnt informed of this (fixed later but I had to call reception from my mobile to find out what was happening). Lockers in spa didnt work.

    Room was very comfortable, clean and cosy. Bed was very cosy.
    I did not like the fact that the room service cleaning staff slamming the doors when going in and out, this interrupted my extended sleep in that I requested. I was then disturbed by a phone call from reception to ask me when I was checking out. I was under the impression that reception should have made a note of that when I check in and paid. This truly disturbed by additional ours of rest

    The price. The room was ok and had everything we needed. The buffet style help yourself breakfast had a massive option that we needed after not getting a evening meal although a bit cold it was ok.
    The booking information shows a nice posh hotel. You enter into a beautiful reception area to check in and are given a map for the accomadation. After a lengthy walk through a maze of coridoors you arrive at a pre fab concrete building that looks like you have crossed the berlin wall into east germany. We then headed back to reception after finding our key cards did not work. When we did get into our room it was ok. We did not need to use the gym after all of the walking through the hotel maze. The location of the hotel is quite remote so when we then found out after a long day driving the resturant and bars were all closed to guests that night to cover works Christmas parties we were not happy. I would not recommend and will never book this hotel again

    Would not stay again.
    Main house reception very pretty, room clean and well furnished, nice and warm for the winter.
    Dinner was not great, very slow for food to come out when there were only four tables of couples dining, food was very bland for all courses, no potatoes for chips or sides available, pizza crust inedible. Dining room was freezing and no music so very quiet and awkward. Dated room. Breakfast wasn't much better, coffee from machine was disgusting, not much choice other than full English and even that was only of and ok standard. Wasn't given information on check in of breakfast times etc so had to go back once we found no info in room. Bill confusion in the morning where the dining staff had not given correct information to the reception, thankfully it was sorted after pushing back a few times. Outside of garden wing looks like a prison, thankfully rooms are lovely, soundproofing not good, could hear doors banging, furniture moving and every car door outside slamming.

    Totally unpleasant and would NEVER go back
    The breakfast was ok but nothing special. All the salt cellars were also damp
    The room was in a little cottage away from the hotel and was very uneven and pitch dark at night and we told them as I was travelling with a disabled relative on crutches, they told us they would get lighting sorted but never happened so I had to pull the car right up to the front door with my lights on full for her to get inside safely! The room was tired but dirty as well and generally unkempt. Also the jacuzzi and steam room were broken as well so made going swimming not as pleasurable. And for the price we paid this was totally unacceptable!! We did complain but they didn't care......

    The Egyptian receptionist was so nice and helpful excellent personality
    Breakfast was good and all the staff were very good
    The pool wasnt attractive it needs more privacy and easy to enter

    Excellent value but some short comings.
    Attractive house and grounds. Very friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable room.
    Poor lighting and signposting meant that in the dark it was very difficult to find where to drive in. On a Saturday, on the run up to Christmas, there were two large parties going on in the evening which meant the bar was not available for a meal and the restaurant only after 8pm. In the Garden accommodation block poor noise insulation between the room and the corridor.
