Firstly, you wont get a friendlier host than the gentleman who runs this place. I first stayed here a week back for 3 nights with a friend. I loved my experience so much, Ive brought my dad back here for some more time to explore Bhaktapur. The room is a basic, but spacious and well organised room. There were blankets and thicker duvets for each bed to keep us warm, or a fan if we felt a little hot. There were some storage areas including a standing hanger, and a side table with shelves. What we loved about this room was being amongst the hustle and bustle of the authentic old town. You open your two double sided windows to the real life nepal and watch the locals daily lives. Its a beautiful start to your morning, as you lean out and people shout namaste again the bathroom is basic but has a piping hot shower, and even some little shower shoes. A towel each was included alongside a complementary bottle of water. Breakfast is included, a lovely little selection of two slices of toast, jam and omlette. Sometimes you might even get a local delicacy; Bara or juju dhau (yoghurt). When asked, the owner was able to give us plenty of recommendations for where to get buses from and walking routes to other places. Overall, I was really shocked to see a couple of comments about this place not raving about it, or that good reviews were fake. The price you pay to stay here, in someones HOME, is far more than reasonable. This is not a 5 star resort or hotel. You stay somewhere like this because you want to experience the local culture, meet and support local families who enrich your experience like this one. Trust me, if you want to stay in a great location, with a good price and lots of character, please visit! If you want daily sheet changes, spectacular bathrooms and a buffet breakfast, go somewhere else, maybe Dubai or a resort. Thank you for our stay !
