Very good location, enjoyable stay but not a 5-star experience
The location of this property was fantastic and the staff were very sweet and reasonably helpful. Also the Roman ruins underneath the hotel that were on display were worth noting.
In the room, the bed was very good, comfortable and the pillows equally soft and nice.
The property though has a 5 star rating, its probably at the best a 4-star. The corridors are like student halls. And the rooms very dimly lit.
We had booked a junior suite, where the sofa went constantly wonky if you sat on it. Also most junior suites have a walk-in-shower. This only had a bathtub which was very high and hard to get into, even for my husband, who usually doesnt mind these things.
The room service food was also over-priced to the quantity served. And the reception/concierge would not book tickets etc for experiences/museums, they only would guide you how to buy if you went with your credit card to the reception or send you the links, which was strange for a hotel claiming to be 5-star or having a concierge facility!
