    A leap in the past
    You can breath the history of the palace. In the past it surely was a fantastic hotel for holidays
    Unfortunately the rooms have not been renovated. You can really see the time that has passed: need for careful restoration.

    Sad waste of a splendid building

    Extremely tired,needs a complete refurbishment but prior to that a good clean in communal areas. Years of dust on the drapes in the bar area. Understand that the hotel is dog friendly but object to animals on seats at tables. At one point at the weekend we thought Crufts was being hosted there.

    Very friendly, responsive staff. The staff were great
    We loved the period feel of the hotel but the bathroom in room 414 was not clean, bath tiles were stained brown & black. Base of shower screen was black & easily cleanable. Toilet brush was stained brown, its metal outside was rusting, easily fixed. Bedside lampshade broken, easily fixed

    Fab stay by the sea, my go-to hotel in Hastings
    Everything was great, breakfast brought to my suite a huge bonus on Boxing Day (and the day after).
    No water provided in the room.

    The room is good and big. But double check the location, I need take taxi everywhere.
    The room size is very good. My room is big!
    The location ~ its my fault, I thought its near by the train station and city center. Apparently its 30 mins walk from station.

    Was a bit disappointed with how tired it looked. Worse than I expected. Needs some TLC.
    Good location. Breakfast was fine.
    I prefer older colonial style hotels and often a bit tired and past their heyday. Part of the character. But far more tired than we expected. Really does need some TLC to bring back up to scratch.

    We had a l lovely few days,very peaceful great food and lovely carols on Christmas eve in the bar.
    Room super Christmas lunch and staff excellent loved the carols sung by the choir.
