I checked in on the 18.12.2023 to the hotel, upon arriving to the room I noticed a dampness in the room.
The following day 19.12.2023 after venturing out for the day I returned to the room where the floor was wet from the dampness in the rooms atmosphere. When I left the room I was sure turned the air conditioner off, however upon returning it was on, after the cleaning had occurred. This was constant throughout my stay.
Upon experiencing the moisture on the floor and in the air I noticed the ceiling covered in mould.
I made the reception aware of the mould, dampness and moisture issue in my room immediately, and 4 times during my stay, however no one did anything about it, along with a leaking toilet issue my friend escalated to reception.
I am not impressed with the staff as they have failed attended to the issues and provided no solutions at all!
-As a result of all of this my friend has gotten sick from the poor state of the room, which is below the minimum standard of a habitable room.
-My stay in Cartagena was compromised as the hotel failed to attend to issues and act on them accordingly!
-I have developed a rash under my feet from the mould/ moisture/ dampness issue, and my skin irritated from this issue.
-The luggage of both myself and my friend experienced the issues of having moisture in the air as our luggage became damp and wet, as a result I had to discard certain Items.
As a result of all of this I will be making a formal complaint about the hotel to the manager, along with leaving a review stating this issues. This needs to be attended to as this issue cannot occur again to another patron visiting the hotel.
