    Disappointing, the hotel was a lot better a few years ago.
    Location is very convenient.
    The rooms were not cleaned properly. The pictures hanging in the bathroom were filled with mould. The bath robes were tatty. Floors were not cleaned each day, and quite dusty. The bar tender at the pool bar was unfriendly, and seemed to make a point of moving as slowly as humanly possible, despite there being a line of people waiting. Margaritas were not made properly and only half filled. All this feedback was passed onto the manager shortly before leaving, who offered to remove the bar charges from the bill. But all in all, we expected a lot more from this hotel.

    Dated. Room wasnt very clean on arrival, hair and mould in the bathroom. Not worth $500 for one night. This was our first time staying and we will not be staying again.

    I felt it was a fake Shangri-La brand name, it had nothing Shangri-La like. very run down property! Leaking lobby toilets etc.

    Great location but probably not worth the price.
    The location was convenient, right near the wharfs and waterfront area. Easy to walk places like the the train station. The hotels pool was nice.
    The aircon didn't circulate around the room, so it was always warm in there. Staff said they'd arrange birthday 'goodies' for my partner, this wasn't followed through on which was a bit disappointing. Noisey room over the carpark.

    Prime location. Walking 50m to marina where all barrier reef and island cruises launch. Then casual stroll to esplanade
    Not a great deal. The only thing we can add was the jellyfish on second trip were out a bit more than first. But no issue with suits provided.

    Our Christmas Vacation.
    From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the most amazing service from seamless check-in and concierge service and welcome treats to amazing daily housekeeping, to complimentary water bottles plus friendly, informative, and helpful staff and we especially loved the lovely lady in the pool bar. Amazing location and fabulous room size. It really was the best location and convenient and central to everything. Loved the backyard restaurant,bar, and cafe below with delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, we tried them all. We stayed for a whole week and just didn't want to leave. Another highlight we received Christmas treats on both Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Really lovely touch.
