Superb

Lovely hotel, perfect for a city break.

We had a room that overlooked Cardiff Castle - great added bonus. Nice breakfast. Comfy bed. Huge room. Overall great.

It wasn't clear where parking was upon booking, We were told this by staff when we arrived, so moved the car.

Good value for money for the night I stayed

The room was totally adequate. I had asked for a quiet room and definitely got that. It was good value for the price I paid. Wish though that the parking and the breakfast was a little less. As a guest I had thought the parking could have been 10 for the night but heyho. The breakfast was a little dear for continental breakfast in my opinion. I had two slices of toast with jam and butter, one tea and one yoghurt at 12. I understand the charge for warm food e.g. full english but I would have thought 8 for a continental would be still profitable. The stay itself was good. Good size quiet room for one night. The staff was very friendly.

Everything but breakfast.

Breakfast. The food was very good, but you had to wait for everything. By the time the bacon came out, they'd run out of mushrooms. Waited for the mushrooms but by then the fried egg had run out. etc. etc. People were hanging about the self-service area waiting for things whilst everything on their plate was going cold. Weatherspoon's breakfast next time, it's a three-minute walk.

We stopped for 1 night (came to watch the football - Cardiff v Leicester). Excellent location - near bars, restaurants, shops and Cardiff Castle and a park is across the road. Principality stadium right by the hotel too and Cardiff City stadium was about a 20 min walk. Parking was good, is back of the hotel and we had to pay but a lot cheaper than other places/hotels. The hotel looks great inside and outside. Staff were fantastic, bar was good and room was great. Clean and comfortable. We would definitely stop here again even when the football isn't on.
