Great stay for special occasion in lovely lake

Rooms was lovely, well appointed- spa bath great and decor super. Breakfast delicious! made fresh with quality food cumberland sausage was amazing and fabulous poached eggs. Great menu selection along with fruit, yoghurts toast and cereal. Health club fee mins drive away and facilities are very good, well maintained and were not too busy!

Driveway a real squeeze god larger vehicles in the dark and rain scary prospect.

Fabulous service and comfortable accommodation

Location was perfect, the room was excellent especially the jacuzzi bath. The staff could not do enough for us especially Alexandra who booked us a taxi on New Years Eve, the service was excellent

Superb

A great location for a trip to Windermere and Bowness

The Howbeck is a 5 minute walk in to Windermere and about 20 minutes to Bowness - both walkable. We received a warm welcome from the staff and throughout our stay. Our room was lovely. We didn't have time to use the health facilities. The car parking was easy. Cooked breakfast was booked the evening before but on the day cereal/yoghurts/fruit etc were available to help yourself to. We would stay again.

Perfect location,great staff and facilities would recommend

Location perfect facilities not even 5 minutes up the road main facilities 10 minutes walk down the road.breakfast was perfect asked for slightly different on the menu and without fail it was sent as asked. Staff are very friendly and helpful. This was the second time staying at this B&B Rooms very clean and well stocked tea and coffee facilities in room and very spacious.

The bed dipped in the middle so not as comfortable as could be but bedding and pillows were lovely.

Great friendly hotel in a great location

Great location, lovely rooms, clean, warm and comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the food was delicious. If you didnt want to sit in your room there was a comfortable lounge with a small fridge stocked with various alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and an honesty sheet where you just noted anything you took along with your name and Room number. You also had access to the health club and spa along with discounts if you are in various restaurants. Would definitely look to make a return visit.

Nothing bad to say we were extremely happy with our stay.

Great stay in a gorgeous part of the country

We had a fantastic stay. We were looked after through our trip by a lovely lady on reception who was very inviting, knowledgeable about the area and great at her job. The breakfast was nice, made to order and prepared when we arrived in the dining room. Location is great. Right near the town, lake and good hiking routes. Bed was very comfortable and room very warm. The spa was close by (off site) and simple but had what we needed. Included sauna, hot tub, swimming pool and gym. Internet was fast. Decor is quirky and charming. Good sized room and personal bathroom with lots of storage including many drawers and a full wardrobe.

Everything was great but we did notice some minor staining on our bed sheets, but they were clean.

The location of the hotel, very friendly staff very welcoming. The breakfast was very good. The room was very good, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and spacious, enjoyed the spa bath :)
