I really wanted to love this place

-Paid a little more for a nicer room with a balcony. -The location. Grasmere is such a beautiful village.

-No parking on site when we checked in before 5pm. I have mobility issues so this wasnt ideal. -Breakfast was extremely disappointing. Despite booking a slot there wasnt a table for us so when we went to sit at a table set for four we were very abruptly told not to. This would be understandable but we had been ignored for long enough while left to find a table on our own, with the only table for two having a half drank coffee on it. Moving on from that we ordered and I asked for the eggs not to be runny. They were runny. Nobody called back to check. I couldnt eat my breakfast. Eventually a young girl cleared my plate and I explained about the eggs to which she replied oh and walked away no return. Service was not good, lack of training perhaps? -Bathroom wasnt the cleanest.

Its our happy quiet place love it !

Rooms are beautifully decorated with a large king bed The rooms are always spotless clean and includes tea and coffee The breakfast is lovely and welcomes the dogs in the lounge and accommodation we love the place hence our visits a few times a year !

Excellent stay nice walks and plenty of places to see.

Location, breakfast and my room were exceptional. Staff were very helpful as usual as I have stayed at The Little Inn before.

Nice room and hotel, but run on a shoestring

Room in the Little Inn was great. Building very good. Location fantastic

The hotel is clearly understaffed. The staff work long hours and work hard (especially Manuel) but because theres too few of them, we waited 1.25 hrs for our main meal before we walked out. The barwoman spoke no English and this resulted in long queues at a quiet part of the day. Overall, room fine but I would go elsewhere to eat and drink.

It was good that we were in a downstairs room , as I had a knee replacement and husband has parkinson's

The fact that you had to walk over the road to the main hotel for meals, the parking wasn't good we were given a space but then someone else was parking in it

Great Grasmere Location & Hotel.

Perfect location for walking from Grasmere Village. Lovely welcoming staff team. Excellent shower with fantastic power & hot water.

Ensuite shower room on the small side & sealant mould needs a little attention but otherwise clean.
