Panagia Kera, Agios Nikolaos Overview
Panagia Kera is a Cretan Byzantine Church located about a kilometer from the Krista village known for its historical importance. The church has 3 aisles and 1 dome and this monument was kept a secret so that it was not destroyed by the Turks. The frescoes on the dome are from the New Testament while the wall paintings on the aisle are from a different period depicting a different theme.
