Altyn Emel National Park is a large national park located in Kazakhstan. It covers an area of approximately 4,600 square kilometers (1,800 square miles) and is situated in the southeastern part of the country, within the Almaty Region. This park is primarily known for its massive sand dune, renowned for its mystical 'singing' sound.

The park is known for its diverse and unique landscapes, which include desert, sand dunes, steppes, and the Ili River Delta. The park's Ili River Delta stands in stark contrast to the surrounding desert landscape. This lush delta is a sanctuary for countless bird species and wildlife, making it a hotspot for birdwatching and wildlife enthusiasts.

Katutau and Aktau Mountains are the two mountain ranges within the park known for their colorful and rugged landscapes. The Aktau Mountains, in particular, feature white and pink rock formations, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding terrain.

Timing: Monday-Sunday, from 9:00 am till 6:00 pm.
Entry fee: Per vehicle - KZT 200 per day; Per person - KZT 1145 per day.
A pass (permit) to the Altyn-Emel National Park can be purchased on the spot at the central office of the park in the Basshi village. Address: 73 Askarbek Street, Basshi Village.
A pass can be also issued remotely through a phone call to the national park, payment is to be made via Kaspi Bank mobile application.
