Designed by John Wood, the younger Bath Assembly rooms are Grade 1 listed buildings in Bath which are now a major public attraction.æ
The Bath Assembly rooms were designed by John Wood the Younger in 1769 and its main purpose was to set a place for dancing and singing. When it was completed in 1771, it was considered to be the most elegant and noble of any in the kingdom. There are four rooms, the Tea room, ball room, great octagon and the card room and each of them have a specific purpose. All these are now available for functions. There is a fashion museum on the lower ground floor.æ
