The trek begins by crossing the Cauvery River and then passing through the breathtakingly beautiful Chellure Hills. The trek also includes a fun boat ride. The next trekking option is the trek to Doddamkali. Doddamkali is located 7 kilometres away from Bheemeshwari, deep inside the forest. Trekking is only available through the Jungle Resorts Packages. There's no provision to hire a guide or trek by yourself. Best you can do is drive upto the Anjaneya Teple and Muthathi River. And the (Read More)Muthathi River is not a very pleasing spot to be in. The river bank is a trash can with human poop and even a sack of human hair(probably thrown away by the local barber). The drive upto Muthathi after the Forest Officer's checkpost is very pleasing though. We saw a couple of herds of deer, boars and peacocks. Unfortunately the drive doesn't end in the same pleasing manner at Muthathi
