Muizenberg

A popular beach town, Muizenberg is located on the shore of the Cape Peninsula where it meets the False Bay coast. Muizenberg is an ideal holiday destination and is best known as a surfing spot. It is also visited for other water sports like blokarting, sailing, diving, kite surfing, and fishing. The main attraction here is the Muizenberg Beach with its colourful huts.

The Muizenberg town was established as a military post by the Dutch and has some historical architecture and structures worth visiting. Some of the iconic landmarks include the Rhodes Cottage Museum, Het Posthuys, Casa Labia, and the Pavillion. Muizenberg is also known for its artistic and cultural inclination that is manifested in its boutiques, cuisines, markets, artisan stores, and more. Also, one can explore surrounding attractions, such as hiking at the Silvermine Nature Reserve and the Zandvlei Estuary Nature Reserve.
