The Askifou Plateau, encompassing four small villages with a few inhabitants, offers a serene and authentic backdrop of the White Mountains. The plateau also serves as a gateway to numerous hiking trails, including the popular Imbros Gorge, Kalikrates Gorge, and Aradena Gorge. To reach Askifou from Chania, It takes a drive of approximately one hour.
