Lake Ray Hubbard is a 22,000 acre lake known for fishing, skiing, relaxing and boating. The lake was formed in 1968. Due to its location, the lake is an important point filled with numerous causeways and bridges. Originally called Forney Lake, the lake was renamed after Ray Hubbard, the president of Dallas parks and recreation system board.
Lake Ray Hubbard has many other recreational spots and attractions all around it. One of the most popular ones is the Rockwall Harbour. It has a plethora of hiking and biking trails available to couples available to couples with some really relaxing beaches. Fishing is a common practice in the lake. Some common fish species found are White and hybrid Bass, Largemouth Bass, White and blue catfish and many more. The area also has a dozen different restaurants that serve delicious food.
